Our Youth Ambassador, vocalist Ismael Paris, performed with Ensemble Vivant at the Flato Markham Theatre concert on November 23, 2025.
Ensemble Vivant performed to a wonderfully enthusiastic audience at the Flato Markham Theatre on November 23, 2025. It was a true pleasure to be part of this outstanding concert series. Following the performance, dozens of audience members shared how deeply moved they were by this “magical” concert and how eager they are to welcome Ensemble Vivant back.
The presence of Charles Mills, pianist Catherine Wilson’s junior-high school band conductor was a particularly meaningful moment. Catherine often speaks of the profound influence he had on her musical development, an influence that helped set the foundation for her career as a concert performer, recording artist, and the founder and artistic director of her own band, Ensemble Vivant. Charles was enchanted by Ensemble Vivant’s concert, saying: “Ensemble Vivant’s concert was as expected, beyond excellent, the artistry world-class and the innovative programming absolutely brilliant. This outstandingly beautiful musical experience brought tears to my eyes.”
