In 2012, 12-year-old Ismael Paris, then a grade 6 student at an inner-city school in Scarborough, Ontario experienced Ensemble Vivant’s inspiring music education performance program, conducted through Euterpe: Music Is The Key, founded in 2003 by Catherine Wilson. Ismael was so inspired that he earnestly reached out asking if we could give him a piano and lessons. We took him under our wing and Ismael became part of Euterpe: Music Is The Key’s Music Mentorship Program.
Experiencing our program was a turning point in Ismael’s young life, setting him on the path to a life of music-making. He has blossomed into a wonderful performer, composer, prolific recording artist and producer in his own right. It’s our great pleasure to present the vocal talents of Ismael Paris, performing with Ensemble Vivant JVKE’s hit love song Golden Hour, which was arranged for us by Richard Whiteman.
