Victoria Abiodun

Victoria was in Grade 5 in 2023 when she experienced Euterpe: Music Is The Key’s program at her underserved school in the Jane/Finch area of Toronto.

Following the program she approached pianist Catherine Wilson with unbounded enthusiasm asking for drums.

Victoria became part of Euterpe: Music Is The Key’s MUSIC MENTORSHIP PROGRAM and she was gifted an electronic drum kit by Yamaha Canada Music Ltd., who partners with Euterpe: Music Is The Key for this program and other Euterpe: Music Is The Key initiatives.

Victoria Abiodun Performs with Ensemble Vivant

Thanks to Euterpe: Music Is The Key, 12 year old Victoria Abiodun joined Ensemble Vivant in performance of Antonio Vivaldi’s Fugue in e minor to a sold out crowd at Hugh’s Room Live on November 30, 2024.

Renowned drummer Adrian Bent was truly impressed with Victoria’s performance. He commented: “She has unlimited potential.”

After approximately one year of drum lessons at the Jane/Finch Community Music School, her progress was so impressive that Ensemble Vivant asked her to join the group for the first piece of Ensemble Vivant’s beautiful concert that followed Euterpe: Music Is The Key’s thank you to the Ontario Trillium Foundation Ontario Trillium Foundation Grow Grant Thank You on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Toronto’s Arts and Letters Club.
